Essential Skills for Sweater Knitting (3h 15m)
Find the sweater pattern that’s right for you and follow it accurately to knit a piece that makes you proud. Join designer Anne Hanson and learn fundamental techniques and tips for perfect handknit sweaters. During class, Anne will set you up for success by teaching you how to choose and follow the sweater pattern that’s right for your skill level and style preference. Then, you’ll find out how to select the yarn and tools you need for the results you want, and Anne will teach you how to modify the fit of your sweater. Once you know how to adjust for fit, you’ll discover how to knit your pieces and seam them together cleanly. Anne will even finish up class by providing some fabulous finishing tips that will make for polished projects.

Mittens and Gloves Galore (5h 38m)
When the weather turns cool, you’ll be ready to warm your hands with help from Marly Bird. Her easy-going yet detailed instruction demystifies double-pointed needles and knitting in the round. Try her versatile 5-in-1 pattern to make simple mittens, gloves and fingerless gloves. Or kick it up a notch with other patterns, including lacy cuffs, elegant cables, cozy thrums or faux Fair Isle. As a bonus, learn double-stitching and how to make a lining.

Circular Knit Lab: Hats Four Ways (5h 11m)
Published author and well-loved knitwear designer Stefanie Japel shares her “purls” of wisdom with you as she teaches you to knit three unique styles of hats. Circular Knit Lab begins with essential information about circular needles and knitting in the round, including choosing supplies and creating the perfect circumference for any size head. Then Stefanie walks you through how to knit a hat in the round from start to finish. You’ll enjoy her ever-present enthusiasm for teaching and knitting, as you learn stripes, cables and ribbing, and top your hat with a tassel or pom.gLearn how to increase and decrease in the round, blocking, making jogless joins, and adding fun embellishments like embroidery to your custom-fit hats. You’ll learn to knit hats using four different circular knitting techniques. At the end of the course you’ll have come full circle and have knitted three hats to wear or give as gifts.

Knitting cables can feel mighty intimidating, especially for newbie knitters. But fear not! Designer Norah Gaughan walks you through the basics in this beginner’s class. You’ll learn how to knit reversible cables that look beautiful on both sides, and use the same pattern to make a stylish scarf and cowl.

Anne Hanson
Anne Hanson is a lifelong knitter and the owner of Knitspot, a popular blog where she teaches and writes about knitting, spinning and design. Anne has been featured in respected magazines such as Knitty, The Knitter, Twist Collective, Sock Club and Brave New Knits. Currently she works in Ohio, where she dreamed up the popular indie yarn company, Bare Naked Wools.

Marly Bird
Marlaina “Marly” Bird fled the world of financial services to launch her Yarn Thing podcast and hasn’t looked back since. To Marly, a bi-craftsy girl who both knits and crochets, the yarn is the star, not how you work with it. She’s National Spokesperson for Red Heart Yarns and the co-author of Curvy Crochet (Leisure Arts, 2011). You’ve seen her designs in Knit Simple, Interweave Crochet, Knitscene, Inside Crochet, Wild Fiber and Petite Purls, and in the books Perfectly Plus and Knitting Plus. In her spare time she raises three kids in suburban Denver.

Stefanie Japel
Stefanie started knitting at 8 years old and began designing soon thereafter. Her book include “Glam Knits,” “Fitted Knits,” and “Mom and Me Knits.” You’ll also find Stefanie’s wonderful work in Interweave Knits, Knitscene, Vogue Knitting and more.
