Wooden Tray Make Over

I found a way to prettify old trays, letter boxs, jewlery boxs, etc... First sand down the wood item of your choice stain the item with the color of your choice &/or finish with a clear stain (pick the stain in accordence to the colors in your fabric choices). While the stain dries apply the heat & bond with an iron to each side of your pre-cut fabric pieces (you can find these in old fabric swatch books, an old favorite shirt, etc...). Assuring the stain has completly dried; apply the fabric pieces to the area of desire with a mini iron. The heat &bond will protect the fabric from fraying or any future stains. At the end you will have a beautiful new serving tray, jewlery box, &/or letter box with your own personal touch added on.
