Project

Reversible, resizable beverage cozy

There are many lovely patterns for making cozies here on Craftsy. I used not just the one listed, but looked at all of the similar patterns here on Craftsy, then made a customized version of them for my family. We keep some in our house and some in the glove boxes in our family cars. I made them reversible and adjustable, as you can see, so they will fit straight sided cups or bottles, as well as tapered cups or bottles, and will also fit around handled cups, too. I used a bunch of plain colored fabric pieces from my fabric stash, used felt pieces for the lining, bought a packet of brightly colored hair holders from the dollar store for the adjustable elastics (a simple knot tied in the middle of each elastic is what makes them adjustable), and bought a packet of brightly colored buttons. I chose plain fabrics so they can be embellished to suit (fabric paints or markers, iron-ons, etc.).
