My Sewing Project

What are you most proud of? Getting that neckline right! For a while it looked ruined, as the facing was clearly too much and wouldn't sit flat - I think that's because the scuba knit is quite thick and stiff. In the end I topstitched the facing in place, and cut the rest of the facing away. No more bulk and it lies perfectly flat! What advice would you give someone starting this project? When sewing the vertical seams, make sure that both fabric layers are fed together through the machine. Mine always had the bottom layer go through faster than the top one (despite using a walking foot), and as a results the dress twists to the left quite a bit when worn. I still love it though!
