Mother of the Bride

I love this dress, and it was made possible with knowledge of a few classes. But from Kenneth I learned the trick of using a walking foot, staying my curves with Silk Organza, and hemming with a bias strip (this skirt makes for a Huge Hem) Kenneth is remarkably accommodating and always bails me out when I need it most :)

Q&A with Judy Murphy

cottonlover asked:
You look lovely in your beautiful dress. GREAT JOB!!! The fabric print is stunning is this a print you purchased on Craftsy? Do you recall the name of the designer & or the material identification that I could acquire the fabric? Finally, what is the content of the fabric? I have the same video & I agree with you Kenneth provides wonderful, useful information. I doubt that you can call yourself a beginner after this masterpiece!
Judy Murphy answered:
Hello - and thank you! Yes - I did buy this fabric on Craftsy SALE - it was called Shadowed Bloom Woven, but I believe it is sold out now :( It is actually a silky polyester fabric...but has a wonderful hand and drape. I told my husband he has to spin me a lot when we dance...because the dress is so twirly (HA)
