Q&A with Sharon Czachor

Sarita69 asked:
Does she show how to make a sleeve or a sleeves garment or take out the sleeve for sleeveless? No pattern? If not which she recommends or use on the class? I do hope I don't get an answer late like I've been getting. Thanks.
Sharon Czachor answered:
The pattern I used in my class, New Look 6247 does not have a facing pattern piece included for a sleeveless version. However, you can use the same bias technique that was demonstrated to finish the neckline to create a sleeveless garment. Lower the armhole up to 1/2" at the side seam. Stitch the bias strip from the inside the garment along the seam line. Turn the bias to the front of the garment as shown in class and begin edge stitching slowly. Keep the needle down in the fabric when pause to adjust the garment, and that way you won't lose your place when you begin stitching again. I hope you find this technique helpful, and please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have! Good sewing, Sharon
