Pattern Details

I have another fun applique for you! In June I thought my sewing machine applique was the cutest one I'll ever make, but I take that back. Now I think this texty typewriter applique is the cutest one I'll ever do. I stitched it onto a Rope Handled Tote (free pattern in my shop) that I sewed using faux leather on the bottom and taupe canvas on the top. The black on the bottom makes a perfect little 'surface' to rest the typewriter on. To make this applique even more easy and fun, I designed it to work with HeatnBond EZ print sheets from Thermoweb. Simply place one EZ Print sheet into your inkjet (not laser) printer and print page 2 from the free pattern. Then repeat and print page 3. My name is Caroline and I want to inspire you to sew by showing you something beautiful every day. I have four children and a room full of fabric. Sewing has been my passion for as long as I can remember. Since I started having kids most of my sewing is for them and our home. For years now my browser's bookmark files have been filling up with project ideas that I need to try. It's helpful because people often ask me if I know how they can make such-and-such, and I tell them I'll just go home and email you the link to a tutorial. Well, now I get to share those tutorials with anyone who will look (or sign up for my newsletter). If you follow along with us on She Sews! the SewCanShe blog, we'll explore new tricks and techniques and show off our work every Saturday in our linky party.
