Pattern Details

THE REVISION WAS COMPLETED ON JANUARY 09, 2O18. Easy to make, roomy and fashionable, this tote features an inner zipper pocket which provides adequate room for a cell phone, lipstick, or what have you. There’s a magnetic closure as well as an inside ring tab to secure your keys. To add to the stability and structure, this bag also has an insert for the bottom. The outer tote’s quilted finish adds detail and a soft but durable construct. Should you desire a firmer bag, try interfacing, plus the batting, or even just foam. It will look great and give it more body! This bag is versatile and is open to easy to make changes, from adding bag hardware, a recessed zipper, a shoulder strap and so on, should you wish to add them. The tutorial would be rated between a beginner and intermediate level. Pattern pieces are not provided, but measurements for each of the pieces are. Also before making the bag, consider whether you want it firm or soft, , and adjust the interfacing and/or batting accordingly. I have only used the batting and with all the quilting. Five ladies were involved in the testing. E-mail addresses: If you have any questions please contact me! Thank you! BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY You should know how to sew in a zipper, and have general sewing skills. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Approximately 16"h x 17"w

I began crafting years ago in the area of painting, decorating, card making, and basic sewing! I then didn't sew for approximately 15 years as I worked shift work and didn't have the time nor the energy. In 2014 I attempted to make a tote bag, through a free pattern on Craftsy. My love of bag making grew from there! At the same time I also started blogging. My e-mail addresses are: or should you have any questions regarding my tutorials. Thank you!
