The Pink Peony Bag is a small and simple bag, yet has a lot of interesting features and a fun design. There are three ways to use this purse: It has a long strap so you can wear it over the shoulder. Simply tuck in and hide the strap and you will be able to carry this little purse as a clutch. Or you may use it as a wristlet by simply clipping on the short strap to a D-ring on the flap. The choice is yours! The pdf file comes with 12 pages of instructions, 38 color photographs and 3 pattern pieces. All measurements are given in centimeters and inches. Please note that this pattern may not be republished or distributed without permission. However you are welcome to sell items made with this pattern. In this case I'd appreciate if you gave me credit as the pattern designer. Follow the link to my blog post to see more versions of the Pink Peony Bag! BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY This is a beginner friendly pattern so in case you are new to bag making I would like to encourage you to try this pattern. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 5 1/2 x 9 1/2 x 1 in / 14 x 24 x 2.5 cm (height x width x depth)

Recommended with this pattern

  • Lining fabric: 1/3 yd or 30 cm
  • Fusible interfacing (mid-weight), e. g. Pellon 931 TD: 1/2 yd or 0.5 m
  • *Helpful hint: You may exchange heavy stabilizer for fusible fleece, e.g. Pellon 987F. This will make the bag a little easier to sew since fleece does not have quite the sturdiness that heavy stabilizer has.

charmed Liebling - be creative!
My name is Anna and I'm a designer and seamstress living in Rochester, NY. I've always been the creative type, I like trying out all kinds of handicrafts and artwork, but I have to admit that it's actually fabric I like to work with most. After graduating I soon realized that I had to find a job where I would be able to express my creativity and to make beautiful things! That's how I decided to create my own label! Moving to the US in 2011 was just the perfect opportunity so I seized it and that was the beginning of charmed Liebling.
