A simple pinafore dress that can be made from a pair of wide leg linen trousers (approx 30cm wide leg). It can also be made from any other woven fabric. The pattern is for a size 12-14 (UK) bust 88cm-96cm - the pattern is printed on an A1 sheet. I chose to make these from a pair of linen trousers as the charity shops always seem to have an abundance of these - and they do not sell well as they are not 'fashionable' for some..... Linen is a lovely fabric to work with and upcycling is a great way for a beginner to learn to sew without spending a lot of money on fabric. The techniques here are simple, and I have marked it as a beginner, which I hope is appropriate. The pattern is on an A1 sheet - if it is printed in B/W at a copy shop as an engineers drawing it should not be too expensive The pattern is a basic sew. The techniques used are binding (with bias binding) facings and buttonholes - but really if any of these are daunting - it can be sewn as you like!
