PATTERN DETAILS

My Little Ruffle Skirt Pattern is one that I designed a few years ago and sold as a pdf pattern for a while. But now I'd rather offer it for free. This little skirt is an easy project to make for your little princess. Suggested fabrics include lightweight cotton and cotton/poly blends. An optional ruffle can be made with knit fabric. The knit fabric for the ruffle can be cut from a lightweight t-shirt, or from store-bought knit fabric. This pattern also includes an optional version with shorts that can be sewn to the inside of the skirt to make a 'skort.' For a baby, you can put elastic in the short legs (bloomer style). My name is Caroline and I want to inspire you to sew by showing you something beautiful every day. I have four children and a room full of fabric. Sewing has been my passion for as long as I can remember. Since I started having kids most of my sewing is for them and our home. For years now my browser's bookmark files have been filling up with project ideas that I need to try. It's helpful because people often ask me if I know how they can make such-and-such, and I tell them I'll just go home and email you the link to a tutorial. Well, now I get to share those tutorials with anyone who will look (or sign up for my newsletter). If you follow along with us on She Sews! the SewCanShe blog, we'll explore new tricks and techniques and show off our work every Saturday in our linky party.
