PATTERN DETAILS

These headbands are a classic cool-weather head accessory with a twist! Sailor Moon fans were in mind during the creation, but any cat lover is sure to want it as well. Fleece is used for this project since it's slightly stretchy and provides the snug fit required to fit around ones head. You can add extra pink inner ear details or the moon detail as you desire, or keep it plain and simple. The size is based on your head measurement, and ranges from 19" heads to 25" heads. The pattern gives an estimate of what size you'll need depending on the age of the recipient, but measuring directly is of course the best way. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Fusible web applique Curved sewing Basting Ladder stitch SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 19" head (most children) 20" head (most tweens) 21"-22" head (most pre-teens) 23"-25" head (most teens & adults)

  • 1/4 yd. of moderate stretch knit (fleece is ideal)
  • 4" x 4" piece of light or heavy duty fusible web
  • 3" x 3" piece of yellow applique fabric for moon (such as felt, cotton, etc.)

Sew Desu Ne?
Sew Desu Ne?
Hello! My name is Choly Knight and I'm a seamstress of over 15 years from Orlando, Florida. I've been sewing since middle school and have yet to put my machine away. I'm the author of several craft books from Fox Chapel Publishing, including Sew Kawaii!, the Sew Me! series, Craft Projects for Minecraft, and more to come! I studied Art and English in college, so it's been a dream come true getting to work in a field that lets me combine my passions for writing, fine art, and craft art. I'm deeply inspired by Asian and Japanese art and craft as well as anime and kawaii style. The anime community has been more supportive than anyone as I ventured to learn to sew, so you'll find my designs are heavily influenced by that style.
