PATTERN DETAILS

We think this is the perfect warm-weather tote. She's so versatile; she looks just as great at the beach/park as she does on a summer smart city break. Use heavier weight fabrics as we won't be interlining this bag. The bag is definitely one of those: 'so easy to use, you'll reach for it again and again' kind of bags. It is wide at the top so it's easy to shove things in, and just as easy to quickly fish them out. The closure is a (simple to install) zipper so you can cram your bag full without worrying about loosing anything as you run for the bus. Inside there is a decent sized pocket for your smaller valuables. Visit our Bag Making Supplies shop. We stock all you need to make the bag pattern. http://www.u-handbag.com BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Basic knowledge using a sewing machine Reading and following a pattern SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 18in (W) x 11in (H) (46cm x 28cm)

Once upon a time, Lisa Lam received lots of lovely off-cuts from a curtain maker and thought they might sell as bags. Boy was she right! During her bag-sewing escapades, Lisa realized the supplies she needed weren't as easy to obtain as they should be. That's how her site, U-handbag.com, was born! Now, she spends most of her time designing sewing patterns and kits, putting together tutorials for future bag fanatics and sourcing yummy fabrics, handles, patterns and accessories. She's also the author of two best-selling bag books: The Bag Making Bible and A Bag for All Reasons.
