A list of what is to love about this pattern: Quick to Make Big Weekend Capacity Learn to Make Your Own Adjustable Straps 4 Inside Pockets 3 Ways to Carry it Fun Contrasting Front Pocket to Show Your Style Size in Inches 18 x 14 x 7 (Carry on Size) For an upcoming trip, I wanted a carry-on bag that could hold almost as much as the carry-on duffle. I also wanted straps that can convert to backpack style or shoulder or crossbody. I wanted to be able to fit everything for a big weekend, but be slightly smaller and more organized than the duffle. This bag is quicker to make than the departure satchel and has more capacity. You can see in the photos how big it is on me. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY I am assuming this is not the first time you sewed a zipper, otherwise everything else is explained in detail. If you need more instruction for the zipper, I can certainly help you. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS In inches 18 x 14 x 7 In cm 46 x 35 x 18

Like so many sewists I know, I have been sewing since the age of 6. I started at my mother's feet, fashioning her scraps into doll clothes. By age 16, I was spending Summers sewing my wardrobe for the coming school year. I was known as a creative dresser. I wrote my first sewing pattern in 2006 as part of applying for a patent. Now I have thousands of satisfied sewing pattern customers and am very happy to be part of the online sewing community. See books that feature my work and follow my various adventures on my blog.
