Pattern Details

Guess what's hiding inside this Number 10 Caddy? A #10 can! A #10 can is 7'' tall and just a smidge more than 6'' in diameter. If you measure around, the circumference is 19 1/4''. Make sure you start with the right size can, or this caddy will not fit! These cans are easy to find at warehouse club stores and make a perfect container for all your sewing room (or kitchen) tools. BONUS: this pattern now includes instructions for making a smaller Mini Caddy that fits a #2.5 can - the size that holds 29 oz of peaches! The Number 10 Caddy has 7 pockets and the Number 2.5 Caddy has 5 pockets. There is no bottom to the sewn portion, the can forms the bottom of the caddy. This is great so if small items or crumbs collect at the bottom you can take the fabric portion out and easily clean the can portion. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY measure mark cut sew SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS approximately 7'' tall and 9'' wide

My name is Caroline and I want to inspire you to sew by showing you something beautiful every day. I have four children and a room full of fabric. Sewing has been my passion for as long as I can remember. Since I started having kids most of my sewing is for them and our home. For years now my browser's bookmark files have been filling up with project ideas that I need to try. It's helpful because people often ask me if I know how they can make such-and-such, and I tell them I'll just go home and email you the link to a tutorial. Well, now I get to share those tutorials with anyone who will look (or sign up for my newsletter). If you follow along with us on She Sews! the SewCanShe blog, we'll explore new tricks and techniques and show off our work every Saturday in our linky party.
