Sticks and stones quilt

First thought was that this project was too ambitious, seeing that the light squares are made of 51 pieces. But it was worth the many hours so far. I just started to quilt it. Will post new photos afterwards.

Q&A with Sabine W.1965

TFeener asked:
want to make it king size, thinking of making a third border , what are the border widths?also replace browns with other blueshow much fabric is each brown?
Sabine W.1965 answered:
Hi TFeener, the whole STICKS AND STONES Quilt measures 86” x 103”as you can see in the description box of the kit. The inner border is 2½" and the outer border is 7½" . I dont know whether I'm allowed here to give more details as this is not a free pattern. First I also wanted to add a light blue border between the small brown and the final dark border, but decided against it, as for me the size is big enough and the shade of the blue fabric of my stash that I wanted to use didn't work. For adding a third border I would recommend to use one some yardage of one of the light or light blue fabrics used for the patchwork. It is already so many different fabric, another one could be to much.
Ami asked:
Is there a pattern only of this? I love the pattern, but would like to make it with fabrics I already have.
Sabine W.1965 answered:
Hi Ami. I didn’t find this pattern aside from the kit, neither on blueprint nor anywhere else on the net.
cheap1079908 asked:
How do I contact Monique Jacobs to see about purchasing this pattern?
Sabine W.1965 answered:
Hi cheap1079908, This pattern is maybe a Blueprint exclusive pattern as it is shown on Monique’s website with a link to Blueprint. But you can always contact her there to ask. https://www.opengatequilts.com/contact-us-1
