Looks beautiful! I would probably do a curved stitching on the diagonal, much like a straight line stitching, but using a curved stitch on your machine if you have it. It really adds a lot of texture! There are two classes on Craftsy that show how to do Creative Stitching with your walking foot...lots of fun and quite easy. :)

Thank you for the curvy lines idea, I agree it would create a tension between the straight lines of the pattern and the quilting. I still have to get the piece squared, all the bias edges are quite stubborn!
