Friendship Sampler

First I used sashings without corner stones and used 1/2 finished sashings in between and to frame it. See next photo to see the spool of thread cornerstone. I purposely created a wide enough sashing to incorporate the patchwork spool of thread. I like to FMQ and will design sewing themed motifs from Lori Kennedy. In Barb's class, she shows how to line up corner stones and sashings which was very helpful, I learned a lot. Have a second sampler quilt that uses the scallops. Will post when it is pieced, soon.

Q&A with vivianbring

HugoGirl545312 asked:
I love your quilt. Did you embroider the blocks or were they printed on fabric?
vivianbring answered:
Hi - Apologies for the delay. The pieces are printed on from the manufacturer as in 28 panels to a cut. They were gifted to me by quilting buddy. You might still be able to find them at Missouri Star or Nancy Notions or Annies. I did hand embrodier some of the panels where it showed stitching lines. Thanks for your question and your feedback. Hope to finish the FMQ designs after christmas is over. Will post an updated photo then! V-
