Q&A with mabozz16463866

HannahJean asked:
This is very beautiful! I would have NEVER guessed you'd never done a quilt before! I am as you were, a first time quilter I am attempting one now and it's basically three different shapes put together to make a block. My question is, is finishing the back of the quilt as hard as I imagine or do these instructions make it simpler to stitch?? Thank you for your help !!
mabozz16463866 answered:
When I mentioned that this was my first time doing the quilting. I meant I did the quilting on my machine in decorative stitching. But I am a beginner .I bought the online course and watch it over and over. with this quilt I thought it would be good to try some of the simpler stitches. But as for doing a backing all you have to do if find a material that you like that goes with the top of the quilt. The pattern should tell you how much material you will need. Just be sure to measure your quilt from the middle for length and width. You can find lots of tips and videos on line. When ever I have question about how to do something I search Craftsy or Missouri Quilting on youtube. It is great for beginners. If you have a quilt store near they will also help you. But the back is the easiest part of quilt. Good luck.
