autumn dresden

my improv quilt. after seeing Susan on the Quilt Show demonstrating her Dresden plate technique , I started playing. I was trying to improve my piecing skills and the centre block had a lump. I cut that away and applied a small hand embroidered circle. the needed to balance it with corner circles too - simple hand embroidery stitches. I used left over piping and rickrack in the binding. Also did some machine quilting in the borders. I used Wonderfil 12 wt for the centre machine quilting in different variegated colours
