I'm definitely ready for a bright and sunny wall hanging to welcome a new season. Banish winter with an indoor summer garden that will be finished just as outdoor gardens bloom in gorgeous color. This is the first set of four blocks in a new mystery quilt along for spring - a small, Summer Garden wall hanging. The completed size of the wall hanging should be 22" x 26" before adding borders. It will be a very quick project with the entire project will concluding in May. This first pair of blocks is free, but over the next four months new blocks will be added at $2.00 for each month's pattern. Each of these four blocks will finish at 4" x 4". Each quilt block will be made with quick and easy fusible web applique. All patterns will include detailed instructions with photos, full size templates, and a layout plan. Full details about the quilt along are found on my blog. Please contact me if you have any questions or if you come across snags while using this pattern. I'll be happy to help in any way I can. When I retired from a lifetime of teaching in 2007, I was worried that I'd quickly get bored. That concern didn't last long at all. I was thrilled to discover that there really is life outside of the classroom. I spend parts of most of my days indulging in my favorite hobbies of quilting and sewing. I started designing patterns as an experiment, and no one was more surprised than I was to find that other people liked my little designs. I'm a teacher at heart, so I do try to write my patterns in such a way that beginning quilters can follow them. I include lots of details, photos, and little informative notes. I make myself easily available to my customers, and I respond to all questions as quickly and as thoroughly as I can. Contact Information: Blog:, Facebook Page:, Email:
