The Shimmering Triangles quilts are very exciting to make. I designed this quilt in 2002 when I had beautiful prints that I did not want to cut into small pieces. Your quilt will feel as if you are looking at it through raindrops on glass, or like pebbles in a rippling stream. Yes, they have a lot of triangles - but I show you an easy way to make them. You will LOVE the processes I show you and the quilt will be surprisingly quick to make. I also have pages colour and fabric choices to make the quilt successful. It is a long pattern with a lot of coloured images. Yes, it is a pain to print, and it will work better for you if it is printed in colour. However - unlike a printed pattern you can simply reprint if you lose it. I live in Australia and this way you will not have to pay postage and wait. I love the quilt and hope you do too. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Sew a quarter inch seam Be accurate when cutting and piecing Have fun with your fabric selections SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Three sizes are given with a chart which will help you if you want to vary the sizes. I have been teaching Patchwork and Quilting for the last seventeen years and I love the places it has taken me and the doors that it has opened. I have lived in many countries of the Middle East and it was seeing a tiny ripped rug in Egypt that gave me the inspiration for the Shimmering Triangles Quilts. I work with a group of men in Egypt who are the Egyptian Tentmakers. They do marvelous appliqué work that used to line the walls of tents. I travel a lot and teach all over the world.
