This is a beautiful quilt block that I used to make a quilt many years ago. It's a variation of an Ohio Star block, and is not very difficult to make - it does have both quarter square and half square triangles, but with careful sewing it makes a lovely block. My pattern features cutting and sewing instruction for a single block of this pattern. You can use it in a sampler quilt or make a quilt with just this block, when the squares are set together a secondary design comes out with smaller squares in the corner squares. Read my blog post for tips on making the quarter square triangles. This pattern will be free through the month of July - look for a new pattern coming in August!
