As autumn arrives, wild geese take to the skies, and brightly colored leaves swirl in cool winds. This seasonal table runner will bring the beauty and life of the changing weather into your home. Pull out your scraps of orange, yellow, brown, and green fabrics and whip up this autumn piece to decorate a table or hang on a wall. The pattern is beginner friendly and designed for easy sewing. It is written with very detailed, clear instructions and is illustrated with numerous photographs. It even includes a tutorial for those who may not be completely familiar with paper foundation piecing techniques. The leaves are appliqued quickly with fusible web and a bit of zigzag stitching. Perfect points are guaranteed and sewing is speeded up with paper foundation piecing patterns that create sets of two, four, and six blocks. When I retired from a lifetime of teaching in 2007, I was worried that I'd quickly get bored. That concern didn't last long at all. I'm a teacher at heart, so I do try to write my patterns in such a way that beginning quilters can follow them. I include lots of details, photos, and little informative notes.
