When I was younger my Oma would make my mom, sister, brother, and me these beautiful blankets and dolls that she would crochet. Because of these lovely gifts, I was inspired to teach myself how to crochet. I bought one of those kits from Walmart and picked it up right away, I think I was 16 or so. I didn’t really start crocheting more than scarves until early 2011 after I had my second daughter. I really wanted to figure out how to make a hat and I looked on YouTube. I was blown away by how many crochet patterns were out there. As soon as I figured out how to make a circle, I was hooked. I absolutely loved making beanies for my babies and all my friends were blown away with all I could make. So November 1, 2011 I created The Little Bucket Boutique (which is now ElizabethAnnMakes as of 2018), I chose that name because my Mother-in-Law used to call my oldest Little Miss Bucket and I liked it. Creating patterns and items for friends just seemed like a natural thing and it brings me so much joy seeing my designs made by others.
