The Shimmering Wall -Bristol Harbourside

What was your source for this piece? Online Photo or Website What type of piece is this? Painting Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this piece. The original wall is a sheet of metal with constantly flowing water running down it. It stands in Milennium Square in Bristol and reflects back the lights from the planetarium and the water from around the square. I started with a layer of acrylic and then covered it with clingfilm to give a flat textured surface with small ridges to catch the paint. When the main colours were added I then drizzled metallic silver paint and irridescant blue paint down the canvas, supplementing it with more of the same applied with a No2 round. This downward flow contrasted with the underlying paint which was applied horizontally. Is the piece for sale? No
