Q&A with Kjes

mardensle7870466 asked:
I don’t understand how you found the warm and cool colors from your True color? How do I figure that out?
Kjes answered:
She explains it in the class, but this is how I think of it. The warm colors are going to move toward the warm colors on the color wheel. For instance a warm yellow would have some orangish hue and a cool yellow would move toward the green, but still be yellow. Same with the red. Warm red more orangish and cool red more toward the purple. Now I have a bit of an issue with the currant wisdom regarding warm and cool blue. It is often presented that warm blue is in the ultramarine (purplish hue) and cool blue goes toward the green, but to my eyes it is opposite. So, there is some opinion involved. I prefer French ultramarine as my cool blue and a more turquoise blue as my warm. I hope this helps.

Where do I find a color wheel
Kjes answered:
You can buy one, but you can find on if you google it or find it on YouTube.
