Q&A with Sarah Peasley

HeatherAndKevin asked:
Just wondering-- what yarn is used in the purple swatch with the gold threads?? The third one over from the left? :)
Sarah Peasley answered:
Isn't it pretty? That swatch was worked with two strands held together. One was a purple variegated wool brand unknown. The other was Ritratto by S. Charles, probably in color 14.
ASiverson asked:
Very nice, and I have to say, I never swatched until last year when I took a class on Craftsy and tried it. It worked, for a myriad of reasons, and now, I.am.Hooked!
Sarah Peasley answered:
Excellent!
ASiverson asked:
Why thanks Sarah, it is appreciated! Have a good holiday!
Sarah Peasley answered:
Thanks! You too!
lem6242410237458 asked:
When I make a swatch, it comes out too wide. It's not a square, it's a horizontal rectangle. Does your class explain how to deal with this? Thanks.
Sarah Peasley answered:
It doesn't matter what shape your swatch turns out to be. You're just trying to create a piece of fabric big enough to measure both horizontally and vertically — the class includes where and how to measure!
