Pisac Shawl by Jennifer Weissman

I knitted the larger pattern, but I broke up the long rib and garter stitch section with double garter ridges, so that it wouldn’t stand out as being so much longer that the other sections.

Q&A with Jamalowa

nanlarene677596 asked:
How many yard needed...yarn details,single ply ?
Jamalowa answered:
I used about 1000 yards of Cloudborn Fibers 80% Superwash Merino Wool, 20% Polyamide Sock Twist yarn in color 10-011 Dolphin Blue for this large shawl. I was sent three 467 yard skeins, and most of the last one was left over.
Christie_SunflOWer asked:
What kind of yarn comes with this kit? What is the content of the yarn? Merino? Alpaca? What is the yardage? Your shawl is gorgeous!

Would you please provide more details on how you broke up the longer garter and rib section? It looks great on the picture.
Jamalowa answered:
I basically did the Rib and Garter Stitch for size small twice, with Double Garter Stitch in between, until I had the 297 stitches.
