KittenCaboodle asked:
I am knitting Lynn's Lovely Beret. I had to go up to sizes 8 and 13 needles to achieve the gauge with Malabrigo Rios yarn. The brim looks beautiful, but the increase to the body of the hat on the larger needles looks awful. I used Andrea's Kfb increase and between the brim and the body of the hat is a row of long loose stitches. Is that how it should be? I've never increased 4 sizes between small size and larger size needles on a hat. Thanks for any advice, Shari Shaw
Andrea Wong answered:
If the increase does not look good, you might try another kind. For example the lifted increase or the Make 1. See if you like it better. Each person and each yarn has a different gauge. The important point is that you obtain the gauge in the instructions. Please let me know if this helps.
