Q&A with jnkrolman9939037
Is there a step by step video with this sweater pattern?
Hi Cynthia, No. There is no video. And you have to buy it as a kit (with the yarn). I tried to just buy the pattern to no avail.
How do I measure for sizing of this sweater. I am typically a size 8-10 in most tops.
I am of a similar size to you. I originally was planning to make the second size (43”) but my gauge was a little looser (4.125 sts to the inch vs 4.5 per the pattern). I ended up making the smallest size and it fits well. The sizing of the sweater is ample, so I don’t think it’s too critical. Hope that helps.
Should you measure the bust measurement and then add the 4-6 inches ease?
Yes. Exactly. The pattern shows finished measurements, which includes the ease. So your actual bust measurement plus 4-6" is the size you should choose. My bust is 38" so I originally planned to make the 43" size. However, my gauge was 4.125 sts per inch vs. 4.25 sts per inch called for in the pattern, so I ended up making the 38.5" size, which was close to about 42" when finished. The sweater/cardigan is ample, so the sizing isn't too critical.
