Pattern Details

A longer, refined pair of fingerless mitts in three sizes (S/M/L) to knit in a houndstooth textured fabric with buttoned cuff. Feminine in a pastel colorway, they easily transition to a tailored favorite when knit in a neutral or undyed shade. Choosing a luster wool yarn or a blend with some silk will enhance the subtle fabric texture. This project is a relaxing, easy to work knit that produces a sophisticated finished look. Substituting yarn and/or needles will result in an overall variation in size and drape. Finished Size: 5.5(6.5, 7.5) inches in circumference to fit hands measuring up to 6.5(7.5, 8.5) inches around Gauge: 24 sts and 36 rows = 4 inches in stockinette on smaller needles

I am the owner of Knitspot - knitting patterns, clubs, and artisan yarns. I am a life-long knitter with a background in the fashion and graphic design fields, and began designing clothing, knitwear and accessories during the 1970s. I teach and write about knitting, spinning, and designing at my blog, Knitspot. I live and work in Ohio with David, who loves wool, too. My design work/profile has been included in Knitty, The Knitter, Interweave Knits, and Twist Collective, Sock Club, Brave New Knits, as well as several upcoming publications. The complete catalog of Knitspot patterns is available for browsing and purchasing at http://www.knitspot.com/knitting_pattern/index.php Knitspot yarn clubs are reknowned for perfect pairings of luxury yarn and design, as well as the rollicking good fun in our Ravelry clubhouse where members meet, chat, and knit through club projects together. http://www.knitspot.com/clubs/index.html Our Bare Naked yarns are as close to the farm as a knitter can get, using fresh fiber produce from regional growers which is then spun into yarn at smaller artisan mills with which I have worked over the years. The collection is focused on single-breed pure wool yarns and exotic blends, with colors that range an entire array of natural tones—yarn the way nature made it. http://knitspot.com/knitting_pattern/yarn-c-21.html
