I designed this package to match up with the Midi Cuddles Blankies. Think how lovely it would be to gift a Cuddles Blankie with a matching toy. The leg/body pieces for all character are the same stitch/row count. The lamb has it's own directions as he is mostly knitted in garter stitch. If these are being given to a baby I would suggest knitting these with nice soft cotton Aran/worsted weight yarn but I have had great results using acrylic and wool yarns too. For an older child/adult of course you can use a variety of textured, furry/fuzzy yarns. There are so many readily available today that we are quite spoilt for choice. Please see yarn suggestions below to see what I have already tried. If you wish to use double knit please lower your needle size to 3mm/3US. Your character will be a little smaller. The eyes are embroidered; I have included details in the step-by-step assembly guide to help you. You could of course use safety eyes; I would suggest 15mm in size. Yarn Suggestions: I have used Drops Paris cotton Aran and Lily's Sugar and Cream solids. Both of these yarns have a lovely array of colour choices. For the stripy cats I used Canon Simply Soft Camo, (Snow and Woodland). Phildar Nounous Phildar Neige Phildar Phil Douce Rico by Design Teddy Aran James C Brett Wildcat Wendy Eider NOTES TO KNITTER: To increase, knit into the front and back of the same stitch. If you wish to use ribbons and adornments please ensure they are stitched securely in place. Included in package: Polar Bear Cat Koala Doll Lamb Also included is a step by step making up direction, which is full of photos, hints and tips to help you create a perfect Toy from the Toybox character. All my patterns are knitted flat and assembled. Due to the nature of digital downloads refunds or exchanges cannot be given. This pattern is written in English. Huggable Bears
Huggable Bears
I learnt the art of knitting when I was about 5 years old. Even at that age I was never happy to follow a pattern, always wanting to try something different. After a shoulder injury I found I couldn't knit anything heavy and out of sheer boredom I found myself knitting a bear. I didn't like the finished bear and thought I could do better myself so after a lot of frustrating frogging Huggable Bear was born. I love creating these bears and other animals, or should I say watching them create themselves, no two are ever alike. You may sell, raffle or donate any finished items created from any designs on this page. Due to the digital nature of downloads, unfortunately no refunds will be given.
