Pattern Details

These mitts mix a traditional Shetland stranded pattern with a Latvian-style lace & braid cuff. They're super fun to knit! Want them unisex? Instead of the lace cuff, substitute a ribbed top & bottom cuff. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Simple lace, stranded knitting, braids, knitting in the round, reading charts GAUGE 40 sts & 48 rounds = 4in / 10cm in stranded St st on US1.5 (larger) needles 32 sts & 40 rounds = 4in / 10cm in Garter st on US1 (smaller) needles SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Fits up to 8in / 20.5cm palm circumference; Actual palm circumference above thumb: 7.5in / 19cm; Total Length: 6.5in / 16.5cm; Cuff length: 1.75in / 4.5cm (note: cuff pulls in between braids)
