Pattern Details

River of Dreams bed runner blanket knitting pattern is fun to knit with super bulky weight yarn and big needles. Pattern includes directions for FOUR sizes: Approximate sizes after blocking... Twin Bed Runner: 23” wide x 65” long Full Bed Runner: 23” wide x 81” long Queen Bed Runner: 23” wide x 89” long King Bed Runner: 23” wide x 105” long PLEASE NOTE: This is an accent blanket for the end of the bed. It is NOT designed to cover the entire bed. All sizes are 23” wide and the length is designed to drape approximately 14 - 15” over each side of the bed. It’s easy to make any of the blanket sizes longer by adding cable repeats. Pattern includes estimates for additional yardage needed to make blankets longer. *********** SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate Experience with basic cable knitting is highly recommended. You will also need to know how to cast on stitches, knit and purl confidently, read a row by row knitting pattern, bind off stitches and weave in ends. This project is knit flat back and forth on US size 15 knitting needles. Blocking of finished knitting is recommended. This pattern is written in English using standard U.S. knitting terms. Row by row knitting instructions. *********** SUPER BULKY YARN: (Knit single strand.) Twin Bed Runner: 550 - 575 yards Full Bed Runner: 670 - 700 yards Queen Bed Runner: 720 - 750 yards King Bed Runner: 900 - 950 yards This pattern will work well with many super bulky weight yarns. I used Lion Brand Hometown USA in ‘Springfield Silver’. ************ NEEDLES: US Size 15 knitting needles, at least 14" long. Longer circular needles are suggested to allow more room for stitches. *********** YOU WILL ALSO NEED: * Cable needle for bulky yarn * Stitch markers - ring & clip on * Tapestry needle for bulky yarn * Blocking mats & pins (recommended) *********** More info about this pattern on my blog:

I have been knitting since I was about 8 years old. My mother taught me to knit and my parents encouraged me to explore all kinds of arts & crafts activities by providing me with the materials that I needed to create. As a girl, I loved to sew (I spent hours using my mother’s sewing machine making clothes for my dolls), knit, draw and paint. In high school I spent all my extra time at school hanging out in the art room. In college I worked at a cute little yarn shop. Many years later...I started designing and publishing knitting patterns in November 2013...I love it! I love giving hand knit gifts to my friends and family. I love to see the smile on their faces when they open the gift I made for them. I hope that you enjoy using my knitting patterns to create special projects for your home, friends & family.
