Pattern Details

As a "hands on" grandma I find it necessary to be able to carry an assortment of small toys to entertain my grandson at any given time. Pocket Puppy is from my pocket series of designs, designed to be kept in a pocket or bag should the need arise. Pocket Puppy sits at just 7 inches/18 cms. He takes his character from the yarn used to create him. He can be a posh pooch or a scruffy mutt. The choice is yours. This PDF pattern includes a very detailed step by step assembly guide to help you to assemble your Puppy. Note to knitter: For increases I used knitting into the front and back of the same stitch, this gives a neat and firm increase. If this puppy is to be given to a young child it's perhaps better to embroider eyes and nose. Also if you are going to use bows or adornments please sew securely into place. Please note this listing is for an instant downloadable knitting pattern, not a physical item. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Cast on/off Increase/decrease Sewing up GAUGE There is no gauge, it will depend on your yarn weight. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Depends on yarn weight and needle size. Its a good idea to use a small needle size to create a tight weave to your knitted fabric. SUGGESTED YARN 100 meters of DK weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Eyelash/feather/chenille/cotton COLORWAY n/a

Huggable Bears
Huggable Bears
I learnt the art of knitting when I was about 5 years old. Even at that age I was never happy to follow a pattern, always wanting to try something different. After a shoulder injury I found I couldn't knit anything heavy and out of sheer boredom I found myself knitting a bear. I didn't like the finished bear and thought I could do better myself so after a lot of frustrating frogging Huggable Bear was born. I love creating these bears and other animals, or should I say watching them create themselves, no two are ever alike. You may sell, raffle or donate any finished items created from any designs on this page. Due to the digital nature of downloads, unfortunately no refunds will be given.
