I always have a big basket of scrap yarn and this is another perfect way to use them up. The technique is interesting and easy to learn and the results are always beautiful. These pillows are perfect to add a punch of colour to any room. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY cast on, knit, purl, pick up stitches, decrease, cast off, sew up. GAUGE 5 stitches per inch in garter stitch. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS To fit a 12-inch square pillow. SUGGESTED YARN 350 yards of Worsted weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Any worsted weight yarn or worsted weight scraps you might have. COLORWAY The more the merrier!

  • Assorted scraps of worsted weight yarn. Our pillows were made with odds and ends of one of our favourite variegated yarns, Noro Kureyon. Lion Brand Landscapes would work beautifully as well. If you want to purchase yarn for this project you will need approximately 3 x 50-gram balls of variegated worsted weight yarns. Knitting needles in size needed to make gauge. We used size 8. Tapestry needle.
