Entrelac is a technique used to create a textured diamond pattern. The resulting fabric looks like woven knitted strips but is actually knitted in one piece. The technique looks more difficult than it is! This scarf is the perfect introduction to entrelac and is great for beginners. WARNING: People will "ooh!" and "aah!" over this scarf when you wear it. They will also think you are a knitting genius when you tell them you made it yourself. The actual simplicity of the pattern will be our little secret. ;-) New to Entrelac? Or just need some extra help? Staci Perry of created a wonderful video tutorial based on this pattern. Download the pattern and follow along with her as she teaches you every step involved in the making of this scarf! Her video tutorial can be found here: BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY knit purl increase decrease GAUGE 18 stitches and 24 rows/4 inches in stockinette stitch. Gauge is not crucial since this is not a fitted garment but changes in gauge can affect both the size of the scarf and the amount of yarn required to complete it. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 61 inches x 6.5 inches, unblocked (size is dependent upon gauge and how severely you block it, if you decide to do so)
