The hat is kit in double knit yarn and the pattern has instructions for knitting in the round AND knitting flat. Just choose whichever method you're most comfortable with. I've crafted all my life. I learned to knit and sew at about the age of 4 and haven't looked back. I made my own wedding dress, and I spent many happy years as a designer/tutor for UK papercraft companies and I have written magazine projects for papercraft. knitting and sewing. Now happily retired, I spend most of my time crafting! :) Instagram - @LoveFibres
