Pattern Details

The pattern provides instructions for not just one or two but 4 sizes ~ Preemie, Full term, Stroller and Crib. Blanket measurements: Preemie- 18"/45cm x 18"/45cm, Full term- 25"/64cm x 25"/64cm, Stroller- 32"/81cm x 35"/89cm, Crib- 35"/89cm x 43"/109cm. GAUGE : 18 sts and 22 rows = 4" (10cm) in stitch pattern. The pattern stitch may look a little daunting to the newbie knitter but do not fear this gorgeous stitch. You will only be working with one color per row so no fancy Fair Isle here. I used a 24" (60cm) circular needle because it holds the weight of the fabric comfortably while I'm knitting; however you will be working the blanket flat not in the round. In the photos you may have noticed I lined the back with fabric. I used a cotton flannel fabric to line the back only because my nieces and nephews prefer that. This is totally optional! I also provide the pattern repeat so if you would like to use this particular stitch pattern for working up a dishcloth, tea towel or even a larger blanket. I am here to help if you find yourself in need. Enjoy ~ Joan
