Pattern Details

I love these earrings. The style is vintage inspired, and can be made to accent that look even further. I hope you enjoy them, and that the design inspires you...... ***07/2012 This is the first tutorial I published back in late 2007. I started to retire it, and changed my mind. I've updated it to include metric measurements; removed some broken links and added new ones and made some cosmetic tweaks. wrap happy, Bobbi BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY basic wire handling skills such as cleaning and straightening wire, and completing a basic binding wrap.If you need more experience with these skills, please see Back to the Beginning Bracelet Tutorial

Recommended with this pattern

  • Minimum 61" 21 gauge square wire. (And 4" 20g round wire if you plan to make your own ear wires). I used Gold Filled in the tutorial, but Sterling and copper will work just as nice. If you use Sterling, you might want to use Silver Black or LOS, to oxidize your earrings, to add to the vintage style.
  • Wire cutters, flat-nose pliers, round-nose pliers, ruler, marker (sharpie), pin-vise, pen knife, masking or quilters' tape, and a short piece of dowel, to bend your wire on. Optional : The quick and easy Earring Thing, from a wonderful Etsy Shop - GlitterCritter - Lilly's Bead Box, also an Etsy shop htt;//, carries the Silver Black I mentioned.
