Q&A with Penny Muncaster-Jewell

lauralaura asked:
I am still using 4D Embroidery to create and edit (customize) designs. I paid quite a lot for this software. Will your class be helpful in this case? I can't afford new software. Very interested in the cross hair and alignment lines for quilting on the embroidery machine, but don't know how to create them with basting stitches, or find them in .vp3. This class look so interesting!
Penny Muncaster-Jewell answered:
H Laura, I am not familiar with 4D software so I am not sure if you can do splitting and alignment in it. Assume you can split a design, and you can create a straight line and change the stitch length, you should be able to do it. If you cannot, then I would suggest you look at Buzztools BuzzEdit V3 at less than $200 it does support splitting and alignment. You can try a trai version. Good luck Penny
lauralaura asked:
Thank you, Penny. I had no idea affordable customizing embroidery software is available! I will definitely look into it. A lot of the courses here are using Embrilliance. Would I be able to import my already created designs into Buzz Tools? Thanks again!
Penny Muncaster-Jewell answered:
H Laura, several people do use Embrilliance. It will do an auto split for you You would probable need Enthusiast to do this. Yes you can import your already created designs into Buzz Edit. Glad to help. Penny
