Needlepainting for beginners! Needlepainting is a beautiful embroidery technique where the embroiderer uses one strand of thread to make straight stitches in such a way that the colours blend in to each other and make a realistic image. You're painting with thread, hence the name. Although the stitches are pretty straight forward, it's not an easy technique and the only way to really become adept is..practice! Because of this, I'm starting this 'Needlepainting for Beginners' pattern series, where each pattern will help you learn a bit more of needlepainting. Each one will use these six colours as a base and add a few more colours, a bit more complexity and a few more techniques every time, so if you follow along with them, you'll learn needlepainting techniques, get practice and have a beautiful little collection of works to show for it, without having to buy many new threads for every new work :D This tutorial is the first one and it assumes you have either no or very little experience in needlepainting. It's easier than my other needlepainting tutorial, so if you found that one too difficult, try this one :D Still though, needlepainting is not an easy(or fast!)technique, and although you don't need previous embroidery experience, be prepared to find it a bit difficult at first. You'll get better through practice, which is exactly what this pattern series is meant for! As always, all of my patterns are free :D If you'd like to support me and be eligible for giveaways of the pieces I make, as well as giveaways for embroidery materials, please consider supporting me on Patreon! <3 The page is https://www.patreon.com/raouken and all your support is going towards me making more of these patterns and giveaways :D Thank you so much, and happy embroidering!
