Vans Slippers My Version

What are you most proud of? I adapted the pattern as I have made four pairs for Xmas gifts and tried something different as I went along. The biggest change was to use insoles and crocket on them for the soles, made them more sturdy slippers especially after adding fleeced insoles inside and linings. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Try outting in the lining if you can work out the pattern shape, it really does finish them off nicely.

Kathy Delory asked:
I love the lining. You mentioned that you used insoles and crocket on them for the soles. What is a crocket? Thanks!
LIz Joy answered:
Sorry Kathy, that was a typo, I used leather insoles and punched holes in them all the way round and did blanket stitch all round then started crochet from those stitches to make the slipper.
