Give someone you love a Wedgie! This hexagonal baby blanket using Tunisian simple stitch and short rows playfully explores the color wheel - but don't be afraid to try other combinations, too. The piece can easily be made larger by either starting with more stitches or by using a heavier weight of yarn. (For example, I gave my nephew an adult-sized Wedgie in worsted-weight Cascade 220 that took two skeins each of three colors and one skein of cream.) The blanket features a picot edging that is worked as you go and an unusual method of seaming that avoids a visible join on the right side of the fabric. The pictured blanket uses the following colors of Koigu KPM: 1000 bright blue (A), 1 skein; 2132 bright green (B), 1 skein; 2100 bright yellow (C), 1 skein; 2200 bright orange (D), 2 skeins; 1100 red (E), 1 skein; 1400 bright purple (F), 1 skein; 2400 black (G), 1 skein BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY basic crochet techniques, such as chains and slip stitch Tunisian simple stitch GAUGE 15 Tss = 4", unblocked SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 37" across as written, but size can be easily modified SUGGESTED YARN 1400 yards of Fingering weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Koigu KPM COLORWAY As written, primary and secondary colors
