This is a reworking of one of my early designs that was inspired by my Craftsy class Fun & Fantastic Textured Crochet Stitches. (affiliate link) Filled with three balls of fingering weight, this lumbar support pillow proves that sock yarn is more than just stash - it's pillow stuffing, too! Keep the size of your stash a secret from your partner while helping him or her to be comfortably seated and out of your hair for hours at a time. Make each side with the same stitch pattern or mix and match the two. You can also stitch a more traditional throw pillow by crocheting each piece until it is square, and then finishing as described in the instructions. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY You already know basic crochet stitches You are familiar with post stitches You can comfortably read a written crochet pattern GAUGE 14 sts and 12 rows = approx. 4"/10 cm in Basketweave stitch pattern SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Each piece approx. 6.5"/16.5 cm by 18.5"/47 cm before seaming and stuffing SUGGESTED YARN 300 yards of Worsted weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Cascade 220 COLORWAY #7816 (MC), 2 skeins; #8910 (CC), 1 skein OR #9451 (MC), 2 skeins, #2425 (CC), 1 skein
