This variation on the pineapple motif reminds me of a little picnic basket, and this shawl is light enough to pack in YOUR picnic basket in case it gets chilly! BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Basic crochet stitches: chain, double crochet, single crochet Working in rows Crocheting in chain spaces, increasing, decreasing by skipping stitches and spaces Special stitch: cluster (described in pattern) GAUGE 1 motif in pattern = 3" (7.5 cm) wide unblocked. Exact gauge is not critical for this project. Gauge is measured across widest point of motif in Row 5 or Row 8. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Adult: 48" (122 cm) wingspan x 12" (30.5 cm) width unblocked; 52" (132 cm) wingspan x 16" (40.5 cm) width blocked.
