PATTERN DETAILS

Updated Dec 29, 2014 with more sizes, improved heel shaping, and alternate yarn suggestions! Here is a basic slipper boot pattern that can be customized in any number of ways. It's worked in hdc using aran weight yarn. You can substitute a different yarn, such as a worsted weight acrylic - just check your gauge and adjust the length to make it fit. The pattern is written for a 6.0 mm hook size. You may need a smaller hook to match the stated gauge: I tend to work fairly tightly, so I have to size up my hook. Once you're comfortable with the construction and the shape, make it your own with embellishments or even a different stitch pattern. Make it your own with buttons, straps, fancy edgings, or other embellishments and show us your version. Thanks for posting photos of your own projects! Feedback and comments are welcome. Have fun!
