PATTERN DETAILS

I received quite a few skeins of yarn in various goodie bags at the last Knit & Crochet show I attended. One skein that really caught my eye was JoJoLand Melody Superwash. It was so pretty and squishy and just needed to be worn! At first I planned on a smaller, asymmetrical bandana~type item, but I was so in love that I ordered 2 more skeins and Askew was born. Askew is an asymmetrical wrap made in a variation of the spider stitch. It increases every other row on one side, and decreases every 4th row on the other, creating a fun wedge shape that makes an appealing wrap or scarf. This pattern includes a written pattern, a video and a chart as well. Size: As big as you want, the sample is 64" long and 14" at widest point Yarn: JoJoLand, Melody Superwash fingering weight: color ms82 used in sample 50g / 220 yards per skein, 3 skeins used in sample 100% wool Hook: US 4/E/3.5 mm Gauge: 10 (sc, ch 2, sc) x 18 rows in a 4" square Stitches and Skills used: ch ~ chain sc ~ single crochet st(s) ~ stitch(es) BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY ch ~ chain sc ~ single crochet SUGGESTED YARN 640 yards of Fingering weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN JoJoLand Melody Superwash

Once upon a time I was a professional costume designer/builder. Then I met a boy. You know how that goes. Now I am a Stay At Home Mom in NJ. We have twin girls who were born in July '07. The artist in me can not stay still, and we could use more income, so here I am! I love creating knit and crochet patterns, sewing (obviously!), book making, well...creating just about anything. We also have a creative hobby. In some of our free time we are Medieval Re-creationists. You can learn more about me, and see lots of fun snaps of my children and other creations on my blog, ~or~ You can keep tabs on my creations on my facebook page, both are linked below with my other crafty pages. Thanks for stopping by! Jessie
