Amigurumi Projects and Patterns: Crochet Trends

When it comes to crochet, you can make a lot of different stuff. From elegant shawls and stylish scarves to hip accessories and tasteful home decor. But if you’re looking to make something cute, soft, huggable, and sure to get people asking all kinds of questions, then you’ve got to check out Amigurumi! Japanese in origin, Amigurumi is a specific kind of crochet that has the crafter crocheting creatures then stuffing them, which results in a toy, or piece of decor. They frequently have a whimsical, almost cartoonish quality that kids and adults both love. Here at Craftsy, we can’t get enough of Amigurumi, which is why have two classes dedicated to it, Amigurumi: Woodland Animals and Amigurumi: Design Your Own Monster. Apparently, many of you members of our Craftsy community share our love for Amigurumi, as you’ve been uploading absolutely awesome projects. In this post, we wanted to feature some of our favorite Amigurumi projects, and share some excellent Amigurumi patterns from our very own Craftsy Pattern Marketplace to help you get started!

These are super cute amigurumi and I’m really glad you shared them! I wondered if you might be able to add the names of the designers and makers, though. They certainly deserve the credit.

I never noticed of how to & what happens if tapped on the ting blog word upper right side where wish list, cart all those tap things. So did not want to have that tap thing to get me in somewhere not knowinhg what happened & how to get out—so no touch, I’m okay. Last night scrolled down through main screen noticed changes–actually the other day or so while on something I was doing at same time all of a sudden changes popping up. Sorry but most of almost all of changes made I do not like–more to not understand & more not know what does, where things all of a sudden went & can’t find it or those & got in somewhere not knowing how what it for how to get out. I came across last night about that word, but a lady was showing what she said is a ball & in actuality making the the real correct way that “ball” comes apart & supposed to figure out which piece goes where & then know what it is..She used a very short little word for it can’t remember that either, but said people stopped making the up correctly & sewed, stitched permanently so no longer a —–that word–I tried & tried to get the free pattern of THAT ONE is THE ONE I WANT so I thought I would try to find how I found all this & try to give another go at getting the free pattern??? See it no longer showing– do these area tap into change everyday & can someone please send to me that pattern for I really wanted that. Also I remember seeing them, just asked my sister she said late 1960’s, I only knew them as lots of people made them or received from someone who made for them PINCUSHIONS–ALL EVERYBODIES WERE PINCUSHIONS–SO THAT WAS A WOW MOMENT FOR ME AS READING HER DESCRIBING IT AS A PUZZLE TYPE TOY—THAT IS 1 REASON—-WELL MAIN REASON I WANT FOR WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE MADE FOR—AND BECAUSE REMEMBERING THEM AS “PINCUSHIONS” AS VERY YOUNG CHILD—& NOW ANOTHER VERY SPECIAL, VERY SPECIAL REASON—THAT IT JAPANESE ORIGIN, FOR I HAVE MY VERY BEST FRIEND OF OVER 30 YEARS, SHE IS JAPANESE FROM OKANAWA—PRAISE THE LORD, JESUS PUT A WONDERFUL LOVING MAN IN HER MAMA’S & HER LIFE WHEN SHE WAS 13, HE WAS SENT TO JAPAN & WORKED AS A CIVILIAN WITH THE MILITARY DIGGING & LAYING PIPES–HE’S NOT JAPANESE & HE KNEW ALMIGHTY GOD IS THE 1AND ONLY TRUE GOD CREATOR OF ALL THINGS & ALL, ALL PEOPLE & JESUS THE CHRIST IS LORD & SAVIOUR–FOR ONLY HIS HOLY BIBLE SPIRIT BREATHED PROPHECIES WDRE BEING FULFILLED IN OLD TESTAMENT & OF COURSE THE PROPHECIES OF JESUS FULFILLED
